The Snowboarder Club of Southern Africa is SA’s first club dedicated to the spirit of park and free riding, fun and competitions. Why ? Because Southern Africa enjoys snow all winter, has two active ski resorts and a brand new snowboard park at Afriski, the home of our club.

The 2009 season will be unlike any before due to the dedicated facilities that the club has been able to negotiate with Afriski. The Club has to date invested substantial funds into earthworks, park features and material for our new Club house. In addition, the club has employed 2 dedicated Parkies to ensure that the Park will be in top shape throughout the season.

Safety concerns together with practical access control issues means that the Afriski Park and Club house will operate on a members only basis. Everyone will be given one Free day pass to test the Park, thereafter you need to be a member to ride.

MEMBERSHIP 2009

- Free and unlimited entry into the new Afriski Park

- Use of the Snowboarder clubhouse and deck

- First 25 new members get a free t-shirt and a copy of TIA Snowboard Movie

- a 10% discount at Gone Skiing on presentation of your membership card

- R500 discount on your Afriski season pass (R2500 instead of R3000)

- Membership fee for 2009 is R250 (Payment details will be mailed to you.)

(2008 members are automatically paid up members for 2009.)
